At the center of all the activity, lodge accommodations are the place to be if you are looking to minimize travel distance during your stay. Please note that the two options in The Lodge are on the second and third floors. There is no elevator. ALSO: the rates quoted include all applicable taxes.

Studio Accommodations
A short walk across the grassed courtyard, Heartstone's studio spaces are a wonderful mixture of private and convenient. The studio spaces are tucked into the various outbuildings that were once part of the old farm’s daily operations. Each studio space has been lovingly transformed from its rustic origin as a creamery or barn into a beautiful suite with sleeping area, private bathroom, and kitchenette.

Poplar Studio

Sleeping arrangements: Queen bed + Single sofa bed
Bathroom: Private en-studio bathroom
Relaxation: Studio has living room sofa and loveseat as well as a private deck with Adirondack chairs
Kitchen: Mini refrigerator, Microwave , Coffee Pot, Dish ware
Accessibility: This unit is across the courtyard from the event Lodge. An easy flat walk.

Blue Ridge Artist’s Studio

Sleeping arrangements: One queen bed, one queen pullout sofa
Bathroom: Private bathroom shared between occupants
Relaxation: Cozy living room with full sofa and wingback chair plus the bar stools at kitchen counter.
Kitchen: Private full kitchen with stove, sink, refrigerator and a supply of starter teas!
Accessibility: This unit is on the 2nd floor of a barn across the courtyard from the event Lodge. An easy flat walk.

Creamery Cottage Studio
Occupancy: 1-2 guests
Sleeping arrangements: One queen bed (single guest), one queen pullout sofa (single guest)
Bathroom: Private bathroom shared between occupants
Relaxation: Dining table and chairs as well as a sofa and loveseat. A front porch with an Adirondack chair. In addition a private 'Hideaway' with table, two chairs and a bench tucked away between The Creamery and The Lodge.
Kitchen: Full kitchen with stove, sink, and fridge
Accessibility: This studio is adjacent to The Lodge.

Cabin Accommodations
A 3 minute drive, around the bend, up a one-lane dirt and gravel road sit South River Highlands's historic, authentic, modernized log cabins. From the moment you pull up the incredible buildings captivate your imagination. These accommodations are perfect for the attendee who wishes a more secluded getaway and enjoys the character and solace these spaces have to offer.

Homesteader’s Cabin
Occupancy: Accommodates 1 - 2 guests
Sleeping arrangements: One queen bedroom downstairs, one queen bedroom in loft.
Bathroom: Private bathroom shared between occupants.
Relaxation: Kitchen table and chairs, and 2 loveseats in this rustic cabin are great for a quiet night before sleep. Also includes a front sitting porch with two rocking chairs plus a rear deck. In the yard are three Adirondack chairs and a picnic table with umbrella.
Kitchen: Full kitchen with stove, sink, and fridge.
Accessibility: All cabins are 3-5 minutes around the bend from the Heartstone Lodge. You must be comfortable driving at night on country dirt and gravel roads, be comfortable with the dark nights and appreciate the rustic, yet modernized historic log cabins. There are two steps to the entry door. Loft guest must be comfortable with narrow-steepish steps to bedroom.

Accessibility: All cabins are 3-5 minutes around the bend from the Heartstone Lodge. You must be comfortable driving at night on country dirt and gravel roads, be comfortable with the dark nights and appreciate the rustic, yet modernized historic log cabins. NOTE: This cabin sits by itself on it's own private entry road. Bedroom is on the 2nd floor, bathroom on the 1st floor.

Accessibility: All cabins are 3-5 minutes around the bend from the Heartstone Lodge. You must be comfortable driving at night on country dirt and gravel roads, be comfortable with the dark nights and appreciate the rustic, yet modernized historic log cabins. NOTE: This cabin sits by itself in its own private glen. NOTE: Bedroom is on the 2nd floor, bathroom on the 1st floor.

In order to ensure personal attention with each attendee we will be capping the number of participants to eleven (11). Last year's Retreat SOLD OUT in 2 days! Be sure to reserve your space soon!!
DEPOSIT & REGISTRATION
In order to hold your spot, please register before October 5th, 2023. A deposit must be paid at time of registration. Balance is due in full on or before October 5th 2023.
REFUNDS
There will be no full deposit refunds issued. There is limited refund on the balance after October 5th, 2023, with conditions. Please email Antonia if there is a need for consideration. antonia@antoniaalbano.com
CANCELLATIONS
If, due to unforeseen circumstances, Antonia must cancel the retreat, 100% of monies paid will be refunded.
TRAVEL
Retreat price does not include your travel costs to Buena Vista. Heartstone Lodge is a 1 hour drive from the Roanoke Airport, 2.5 hour drive from Northern Virginia, 2 hours from Richmond, 6 hours from NYC & 3 hours from Raleigh/Durham. The Retreat Center is conveniently located only off of I-81. Parking on site is located approximately 75 yards/3 minute walk from the main lodge area, however a drop off zone is available for luggage upon arrival and departure. It will be necessary to park your car in the signed 'Event Parking' lot.
ACCESSIBILITY
The retreat center is not designed for wheelchair access. The Heartstone Lodge has one wheelchair/handicap parking spot available and ramp access to the first floor of the retreat center only. All workshops will be on the second floor accessible by stairs only. All sleeping accommodations in The Lodge are on the 2nd or 3rd floor & have staircase access only. The Studios & Cabins have open farm ground access only. Bring comfy walking shoes. If you have specific accessibility concerns please send us an email to JOY@LOVEHeartstone.com
ACCOMMODATIONS
All spaces in the lodge and all sleeping accommodations are climate controlled, but please note fall weather in Virginia can be either hot or cold. It would be good to dress in layers, bring slippers or heavy socks for classroom and a reusable water bottle for both indoors and/or if you plan to enjoy the beautiful outdoor spaces. If you plan to take any walks and hikes on the property and surrounding areas, please also bring close toed shoes, long pants & insect spray. Tick season is all year long, so it’s important to come prepared.
FOOD
All meals are included in the full retreat registration cost. Meals will offer delicious choices including vegetarian, gluten-free, and nut-free options. If you have a serious allergy, please let us know. If the menu doesn't accommodate your needs, we will provide you with the kitchen resources so that you can provide your own food. All meals will be included in the retreat package regardless.
